Chimac

Born from a love of Korean fried chicken and made in Dublin, Chimac creates bold, punchy sauces inspired by the flavours of Korea. The story started with a trip to Seoul and an obsession with chimaek – crispy Korean fried chicken served with beer – before founders Sofie Rooney and Garret FitzGerald opened their own Dublin fried chicken restaurant. The sauces became a star in their own right, and thankfully for the rest of us, they decided to put them in bottles.

Expect plenty of gochujang, fermented flavours, garlic, chilli and that addictive balance of sweet, sour and savoury. From sticky Sriracha Caramel and tangy Korean Hot Sauce to funky K-BBQ and spring onion Kimchi Ketchup, Chimac sauces are made for much more than dipping. Drizzle them over fried chicken and loaded fries, slather them into burgers, glaze meat and vegetables, stir them through noodles and rice bowls or use them to give a simple marinade a Korean-inspired twist.
