Nduja
'Nduja is a traditional Calabrian spreadable salami with a rich, smoky flavour and a warming chilli heat that has made it a favourite in Italian cooking. Made with pork belly, pork fat and authentic Calabrian chillies, it has a soft, spreadable texture that melts beautifully into sauces, pizzas and pasta, adding deep savoury flavour with very little effort.
Unlike cured meats that are sliced and served cold, 'nduja is designed to be stirred, spread and cooked. A spoonful melts into tomato sauce to create a silky, spicy pasta dish, while dollops scattered over pizza become wonderfully rich as they cook. It also works brilliantly with seafood, roasted vegetables and creamy cheeses, bringing warmth and depth without overwhelming the dish.

What makes Calabrian 'nduja different from other salami?
Unlike traditional cured salami, 'nduja has a soft, spreadable texture thanks to its higher fat content. It's designed to melt into dishes, creating rich flavour throughout sauces, pizzas and stews rather than being served solely in slices.
How spicy is 'nduja?
'Nduja has a noticeable chilli warmth that builds gently rather than being overwhelmingly hot. The Calabrian chillies contribute both heat and a distinctive fruity depth, making it flavourful as well as spicy.
What ingredients pair particularly well with 'nduja?
'Nduja works beautifully with tomatoes, mozzarella, burrata, Parmesan, ricotta, roasted peppers, broccoli, beans, prawns and eggs. It also pairs well with honey for a sweet and spicy contrast on pizza or crostini.
