Mango Chutney

Geeta’s Premium Mango Chutney 1.5kg combines ripe Indian mangoes with aromatic spices to create a rich, fruity chutney with a characteristic balance of sweetness, gentle acidity and warming spice. Inspired by a family recipe, it has plenty of mango character and a thick, spoonable consistency that makes it particularly versatile.

There’s much more you can do with mango chutney than serve it alongside a curry. Spoon it into wraps and sandwiches, add it to a cheese board, brush it over grilled meats, mix it into marinades or use it to bring sweetness and spice to sauces and dressings. It is also excellent with poppadoms, naan and other Indian breads.

Key Features:

  • Large 1.5kg jar.
  • Made with Indian mangoes.
  • Based on Geeta’s family recipe.
  • Made without artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
  • Ready to serve straight from the jar.
  • Generous catering-size format for frequent use.

Recipe Inspiration:

  • Mango Chutney & Cheddar Toastie – Spread Geeta’s Premium Mango Chutney inside sourdough with mature Cheddar, then toast until crisp outside and melting in the centre.
  • Sticky Mango Chutney Chicken – Combine mango chutney with soy sauce, lime and fresh ginger, then use it as a sticky glaze for roasted or barbecued chicken thighs.
  • Curried Mango Chutney Slaw – Stir mango chutney through a lightly spiced yoghurt dressing and toss with finely shredded cabbage, carrot, spring onion and coriander.
  • Mango Chutney Sausage Rolls – Add a thin layer of mango chutney beneath seasoned sausage meat before rolling in puff pastry for a sweet, spiced contrast to the savoury filling.

Why does mango chutney work so well with cheese?

Mango chutney combines fruit, sweetness, acidity and spice, all of which provide contrast to the salt and richness of cheese. Mature Cheddar is a classic pairing, but it also works particularly well with creamy Brie, baked Camembert and crumbly British cheeses.

Can mango chutney be used as a glaze for BBQ food?

Yes. The natural sweetness of mango chutney makes it particularly effective for creating a sticky, caramelised finish on chicken, pork and grilled vegetables. Apply it towards the end of cooking, as the sugars can catch when exposed to high heat for too long.

How can I turn mango chutney into a dipping sauce?

Mango chutney can be loosened with yoghurt for a creamy dip or blended with lime juice for something sharper. For an Indian-inspired dipping sauce, combine it with yoghurt, fresh coriander and a little garam masala or curry powder.
