Rainbow Dust ProGel Food Colouring Multipack 6 x 25g brings together six bright gel food colours for cake decorating, baking and sugarcraft. ProGel is a highly concentrated gel food colouring, so only a small amount is needed to produce rich, vibrant colour. The thicker gel consistency makes it particularly useful for colouring sugarpaste, buttercream, royal icing, frosting and cake batter without introducing lots of additional liquid. The colours are also bake-stable, helping them retain their impact when used in baked creations.

Each colour comes in a resealable 25g squeezy tube with a precision nozzle, making it easy to add a little at a time and gradually build the intensity. Recipe Inspiration:

• Create a rainbow layer cake by colouring separate portions of cake batter with Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime, Sky Blue and Pink ProGel before stacking the baked sponges with vanilla buttercream.
• Make colourful macarons by tinting individual batches with different ProGel shades, then pair them with complementary buttercream, ganache or fruit fillings.
• Decorate celebration biscuits with brightly coloured royal icing, using different shades for piping, flooding and small decorative details.
• Make a batch of vanilla cupcakes and divide the buttercream between several bowls before adding different ProGel colours for a bright, coordinated cupcake selection.

Can Rainbow Dust ProGel colours be mixed together?

Yes. ProGel colours can be combined to produce additional shades, so the six colours in this set can form the starting point for a much wider palette. Add each colour gradually and mix thoroughly until you achieve the shade you want.

Why is gel food colouring useful for buttercream and sugarpaste?

Gel colouring introduces much less additional liquid than conventional liquid food colouring. This is particularly useful when working with buttercream, royal icing and sugarpaste, where maintaining the right consistency is important for piping, covering and decorating.

How do I create pastel shades with ProGel food colouring?

Start with a white or pale base and introduce a tiny amount of ProGel at a time. Because the colouring is highly concentrated, gradually building the colour gives you much greater control when creating pale pinks, soft blues, pastel yellows and other delicate shades.
