LED Fly Killer

The Eazyzap Energy Efficient LED Fly Killer provides effective flying insect control while using significantly less energy than traditional fluorescent fly killers. Designed for commercial kitchens, restaurants, cafés, food preparation areas and other hospitality spaces, it combines a powerful electric zapping grid with energy-efficient LED technology to help keep unwanted flying insects under control.

Two 4.5W LED bulbs attract flying insects towards the high-voltage grid, where they are quickly dealt with. The LEDs are rated for up to 10,000 hours of use and can use around 50% less energy than comparable fluorescent alternatives, helping to reduce both electricity consumption and the frequency of replacement bulbs.

With coverage of up to 50m², the Eazyzap fly killer is well suited to larger spaces. It can be suspended using the supplied chain or mounted using suitable wall hooks, while the generous 2-metre power cable gives you greater flexibility when choosing its position. A removable collection drawer catches insect remains and can be quickly removed when it is time to clean the unit.

Key Features:

How much does an LED fly killer cost to run?

Based on an electricity price of £0.30 per kWh and eight hours of daily use, this Eazyzap model has an estimated annual running cost of £28.25. The equivalent fluorescent model is estimated at £58.74 under the same conditions, representing an energy cost saving of around 52%. Actual costs will vary according to your electricity tariff and usage.

Where is the best place to position an electric fly killer?

For effective performance, a fly killer should generally be positioned where its light can be easily seen by flying insects, while avoiding competing light sources where possible. Installing this model directly against a wall may reduce its effective coverage, so positioning should be considered carefully when setting up the unit.

How often will the LED bulbs need replacing?

The LED bulbs are rated for up to 10,000 hours. As an example, running the unit for eight hours every day would equate to around 2,920 hours annually, although actual bulb lifespan can vary according to operating conditions and usage.
