Sliced Serrano Ham
Charcuti Spanish Serrano Ham 500g brings one of Spain’s best-loved cured meats straight to the table. Serrano ham is prized for its savoury, gently salty flavour and firm yet tender texture, making it a natural choice for tapas, charcuterie boards, sandwiches and simple Mediterranean-style dishes.
There’s very little you need to do with good Serrano ham. Arrange it with Manchego, olives and crusty bread, fold slices over ripe melon or use it to bring a salty contrast to sweet figs and peaches. It’s equally good torn over pizza, tucked into sandwiches or served alongside eggs for a leisurely breakfast.
At i4C, we think Serrano ham is at its best when you keep things uncomplicated. A generous sharing board, a few good Spanish ingredients and something cold to drink is often all that's needed.

What is the difference between Serrano ham and prosciutto?
Both are dry-cured hams, but they come from different culinary traditions. Serrano ham originates in Spain, while prosciutto is Italian. Differences in the pigs, curing methods and ageing contribute to their individual flavours and textures.
Why is it called Serrano ham?
The name comes from the Spanish word “sierra”, meaning mountain range. Serrano ham has historical associations with curing pork in the cool, dry mountain air of Spain.
What should you serve on a Spanish charcuterie board with Serrano ham?
Serrano ham works particularly well alongside Manchego cheese, Marcona almonds, olives, roasted peppers, membrillo and good bread. Adding pickles or a little sherry vinegar to accompanying vegetables provides acidity to balance the richness of the cured meat.
