Cocktail Bitters
Angostura Aromatic Bitters 200ml is one of the world's most recognisable cocktail ingredients, trusted by bartenders since 1824 for its unmistakable depth of flavour. Made from a closely guarded blend of herbs, spices and botanicals, just a few dashes add warmth, complexity and balance to cocktails while also enhancing both sweet and savoury recipes.
Best known for classic drinks such as the Old Fashioned, Manhattan and Pink Gin, Angostura Bitters also works beautifully in modern cocktails, mocktails and soft drinks. Beyond the bar, it's a surprisingly versatile cooking ingredient, bringing extra depth to chocolate desserts, marinades, barbecue sauces, stews and fruit dishes.

Why does Angostura Bitters have such a large label?
The oversized label was originally the result of a production mistake, where the label and bottle were designed separately and didn't quite match. Rather than changing it, the company kept the distinctive look, and it has since become one of the brand's most recognisable features.
How many dashes of Angostura Bitters should you use?
Because Angostura Bitters is highly concentrated, most cocktails only require two to four dashes. A small amount is enough to add complexity without overpowering the drink.
Can Angostura Bitters be used in food as well as cocktails?
Yes. Angostura Bitters is widely used in baking, desserts, marinades, gravies, barbecue sauces and slow-cooked dishes, where its blend of herbs and spices adds subtle warmth and depth of flavour.
